As an EG Home Design Consultant, you will guide homebuyers through the process of personalizing their new home purchase. You will collaborate with clients to select finishes, fixtures, and optional upgrades, ensuring their design vision aligns with their lifestyle and the company’s standards. Your expertise will help transform the builder’s offerings into the customer’s dream home.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Meet with homebuyers to understand their design preferences and lifestyle needs. Present a curated selection of design options in line with the production builder’s standards. Guide customers through the selection of finishes, materials, and optional features. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of available design offerings and upgrades. Provide recommendations that balance design, budget, and functionality. Prepare and manage accurate documentation of all selections for construction teams. Ensure adherence to company guidelines and building standards. Stay current and collaborate with the design team on industry trends and design innovations. Collaborate with internal teams (sales, construction, purchasing) to ensure a seamless design process and positive customer experience. Manage signing of selections documentation by buyers Assist in designing spec homes and model homes

REQUIRED EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in interior design or equivalent amount of practical experience

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Related Functional Experience:

Minimum 3 years Design Background Previous experience in residential design consultation, production home design, or related field. Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, and spatial planning. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with attention to detail. Familiarity with construction processes and product offerings in production homes. Ability to read and understand construction blueprints Intermediate computer literacy required; training provided for role-specific software and tools

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Ability to work Saturdays Organized and able to manage schedules and follow-through on tasks. Comfortable in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment. Proficient in effective communication Proactively creative and resourceful with a customer-focused mindset. Design Consultant Pro Certification preferred, but not required
