We are seeking a talented, detail-oriented Residential CADD Designer who enjoys performing a wide variety of tasks. Specifically, managing the preconstruction phase of new custom home including : Create architectural custom home plan sets for new custom homes by working directly with the customer Assist in producing quote packages to solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers Learning how to assist in assembling cost estimates and creating contracts and pricing attachments for new contracts Manage the building permit process for new homes and keeping track of permit status Collaborating with lenders for the clients Follow up with and keep track of new prospects/clients Attending home shows to meet and greet new clients Assisting the client in color and product selections throughout the construction process Qualifications Proficiency in design software. We use SoftPlan. If you have substantial experience in residential CADD design, but not SoftPlan, we can arrange training Strong understanding of residential design Ability to work consistently while managing multiple projects simultaneously Competent communication skills to articulate design ideas clearly to clients and subcontractors/suppliers A degree in Design, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory based on experience 10+ years experience in construction and residential design preferred Most important; a focused, consistent, self-starting individual with a positive upbeat attitude is a must
