Interior Designer
HuntonBrady Architects is an award-winning firm recognized nationally for exceptional design quality and client satisfaction. Our Orlando, Florida office is seeking an interior designer who is motivated, imaginative, and thrives working in a highly collaborative team environment.
Requirements and Job Responsibilities:
Professional experience and a bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field are required.
Inspires creativity and a commitment to design excellence and knowledge of industry best practices. Demonstrates understanding and leadership in the architectural design process and standalone interior projects while collaboratively engaging with multiple disciplines during the design process (i.e., architects, engineers, and specialty consultants).
Develops and demonstrates design intent through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats. Strong graphics and visualization skills to effectively and quickly communicate design ideas required.
Demonstrates experience in interior space planning, interior materials and palette, specifications, lighting, and FF&E. Communicate with product representatives, furniture dealerships, fabricators, and contractors to incorporate information into project requirements.
Works with principals and project managers in defining project work plans by developing and managing the production schedule including deadlines.
Will oversee the preparation of permit documents. Prepares client presentations and may present design concepts and drawings to communicate design intent in formal settings.
Mentors and guides the skill development of junior staff for their growth in all phases of design.
Understanding of applicable building, life-safety, and accessibility codes.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUP, and Enscape.
