Job Title Designer – Workplace Planning Job Description Summary We are seeking a talented and motivated Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, a keen eye for detail, and strong technical skills. This role involves collaborating with internal teams, brokers, project managers, and clients to develop and implement innovative design solutions for commercial workspaces. The Designer will be responsible for creating comprehensive 2D and 3D drawings, while also evaluating occupancy, egress, and building code compliance to ensure designs meet all requirements. Job Description Responsibilities Develop conceptual test fits that effectively meet client or broker needs.
Produce high-quality 3D renderings using templates within Revit, Enscape, and Twinmotion
Maintain and enhance Revit template standards and drive innovation in their use.
Validate that test fits and design concepts are safe, functional, aesthetically appropriate, and compliant with all applicable code requirement.
Ensure compliance with IBC and ADA Standards for all spaces, including performing necessary calculations for plumbing, occupancy, and egress.
Attend project meetings and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Monitor high volume project progress, and proactively identify potential issues or challenges.
Provide excellent customer service by responding to client inquiries and addressing their needs promptly and professionally.
Develop strong relationships with clients to foster long-term partnerships by building trust. Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design from a CIDA accredited institution. NCIDQ certification is a plus.
1+ years of relevant work experience
Proficiency in REVIT
Understand and manage: phasing, design options, schedules
Ability to read and review construction documents
Understanding of building codes (IBC) and ADA standards
Ability to perform occupancy calculations
Excellent internal and external customer service skills
Effective interpersonal skills and problem solving ability
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
