We specialize in the development, construction, and property management of multi-family properties throughout Northeast Ohio, Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, and South Carolina. As we continue to grow and expand into new markets, we are looking for a full-time Interior Designer to add to our team. As a member of our in-house design and construction team, you will play a key part in shaping the look and feel of our residential communities – from model suites to amenity spaces and everything in between.
What You’ll Do:
Design interiors for new apartment homes, common areas, and leasing offices/clubhouses. Work with construction and property management on a variety of capital improvement projects for the renovation and/or replacement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment across our almost 14,000 apartment homes portfolio. Coordinate the selection, purchasing, and installation of finishes, furnishings, artwork, and accessories. Be on hand for deliveries and installations to ensure consistency across our portfolio, while maintaining an established project budget. Prepare construction documents, finish schedules, design presentations, and material/mood boards. Collaborate with in-house architects, ownership, construction managers, regional property managers, and vendors throughout all project phases. Perform on-site, as-built, measurements to adjust construction documents accordingly based on field verified conditions.
What We’re Looking For:
Degree in Interior Design or similar field. 2+ years of experience, preferably in multi-family or residential design. Proficiency in AutoCad, Sketch-up, Adobe Creative Suite, or other 3D modeling/rendering software. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet established deadlines. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Possess knowledge of a variety of building and accessibility codes and how those codes affect design and construction of different building types.
