Linden Avenue, Glen Ridge, NJ 07028 Job Summary We are a boutique residential interior design firm known for delivering creative highly personalized, thoughtfully curated spaces. We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Design Assistant to support our Principal Designer in all aspects of the design business. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to the full lifecycle of residential design projects—from concept to installation. Candidate must exemplify exceptional organizational and project management skills, demonstrate urgency and follow-through while manage multiple residential projects simultaneously
Key Responsibilities:
Project & Office Coordination:
Manage all back-office operations including scheduling, order placement, and tracking Coordinate vendor communications and delivery logistics Schedule client meetings, site visits, and furniture installations
Design Support:
Create and update AutoCAD floor plans, elevations, and construction documents Develop 3D renderings and visual presentations using SketchUp Assist with sourcing materials, furniture, and finishes Administrative Duties ( a critical and important aspect of this position): Responsible for all purchases. Maintain and organize all records of purchase orders, deliveries and inventory. Responsible for all Billing using Houzz Pro Communicate with clients on project time lines, and billing
Client Engagement:
Act as a liaison between clients, vendors, and contractors Support the Principal Designer in preparing client presentations and mood boards
Social Media:
Assist in maintaining social media presence
Qualifications:
Proficient in AutoCAD , SketchUp , Houzz Pro , and QuickBooks Highly organized and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment Experience in interior design or a related creative field is preferred Why Join Us?
