POSITION
:
FREELANCE PROJECT MANAGER
Carter Design is seeking a freelance project manager to run multiple projects in the Long Island and Metro New York
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Prior project management in the field of interior design/architecture Extreme organization and love of design Attention to detail
Computer Skills :
CAD / Photoshop/SKETCH UP Excel/Proficient in Google Drive/ Reading Floorplans
RESPONSIBILITIES
For each assigned project:
- Floorplan, Elevations and rendering creation
- Cabinetry Detail Drawings
- Layout of design and furnishing presentation
- Create and maintain project punch lists
- Create and Maintain Project Budgets
- Create and Maintain Project Binders with up to date: Floorplans/cabinetry drawings, budget, punchlist and client correspondence to be brought to each site meeting
- Ensure all necessary project samples are on-site for site meetings
- Create and Maintain Project Calendars distribute to the team and applicable vendors
- Update project calendar weekly to reflect any changes or delays
- Schedule a weekly review with project lead and team of Punchlist/Calendar/Budget
- Delegate tasks with deadlines on punchlists to team members
- Maintain and organize Google Drive folder for each project
- Oversee that site photo surveys have been completed and organized for each site visit
- Oversee Pinterest page is organized per project
- Coordinate with accounting once estimates are approved for the creation of invoices
- Process approved orders with all receipts filed in appropriate Google Drive folder
- Update the budget weekly with any new project purchases
- Create client estimates for client approval
- See that items are ordered once approved by client
- Follow up on orders once order is placed
- Oversee and manage design boards, both physical and Pinterest
- Organize samples related to each project
- Record meeting notes and distribute to the project team within 24 hours of a meeting as well as keep in pdf form in
- Record hours spent per project each week in Harvest and submit invoice for payment every 2 weeks.
- Update Project finish schedules that include: Painting, lighting, electrical, plumbing for distribution to vendors as well as project record
- Catalog project materials on Google sheets and physical boxes as needed
- Provide weekly status updates at end of week for each project lead as well as client
- Create and update the site survey of each project for the duration of the project, with each visit and categorize image by room
- Schedule project meetings and invite all project team members google calander
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner with documentation
- See that all items delivered to projects and clients presented in a professional and detailed way
- Work closely with bookeeper to track project budgets
- Maintain vendor relationships
- Portfolio or website should be supplied with resume
