This position in the
ELIZABETH
STUART organization works directly with the design team to build upon the commercial project portfolio. This individual must possess a deep understanding of how interior design elements are sourced, specified, and implemented from conceptual design through construction administration. The interior designer must be able to connect this to the
ELIZABETH STUART
vision for multi-family, corporate, and other brand driven projects. The interior designer is responsible for handling multiple projects, maintaining positive relationships with all clients, vendors, and client consultants.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Reports to Managing Design Director and work alongside the full ES design team Oversight of multiple commercial projects Liaison to architects, construction teams, and other preferred partners Manage the purchasing process through vendor quotes, client proposals and payments, purchase orders, and invoices Source new and vintage products including furniture, textiles, hardware, lighting, and accessories utilizing domestic and international vendors Prepare client presentations: obtain pricing, order samples, produce presentation visuals, assist with space-planning and related furniture layouts, prepare elevations, and manage shop drawings for projects Supervise external contractor teams to generate construction schedules relating to interior finishes, lighting, IT/AV equipment requirements, MEP coordination, and furniture/artwork installations Travel onsite for in-person consultations, design meetings, and installations (in state and out of state) Track monthly time billing and invoicing with ES accounting and with clients Proficiency in Revit and/or Auto CAD with flexibility for both
