Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly professional Japanese-English Translator to support our Finance and Human Resources departments, while also performing general administrative duties. This role requires strong bilingual skills, a solid understanding of business terminology in both languages, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and capable of handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

Translation & Interpretation Translate a variety of documents (e.g., HR policies, financial reports, emails, meeting materials) from Japanese to English and vice versa, with accuracy and cultural nuance. Provide real-time interpretation (consecutive/simultaneous) during meetings, training sessions, and conference calls between Japanese and English speakers. Assist in creating bilingual documents, presentations, and internal communications.

Qualifications:

Fluency in Japanese and English (written and spoken) – Native or near-native proficiency required. 2-4 years of experience in translation/interpretation, preferably in a corporate environment. Prior experience or familiarity with HR or finance terminology preferred. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a Japanese or multinational company.
