Chinese Language Analyst Position Available In Madison, Alabama

Responsibilities Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Chinese Linguist to support mission-critical translation and interpretation activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate advanced proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) and English, with the ability to accurately translate and interpret both technical and non-technical materials.

Responsibilities:

Perform advanced Chinese-to-English and English-to-Chinese translation of written, audio, and video source materials, including technical content. Provide bi-directional consecutive interpretation, ensuring original meaning, tone, and intent are preserved. Analyze and review foreign language content to produce high-quality, contextually accurate translations. Develop written reports and assessments, including evaluation of source credibility for intelligence and operational use. Support the development and implementation of translation methodologies, quality control processes, and linguistic standards. Plan, manage, and track translation projects from initiation through completion. Translate and interpret highly technical and intelligence-related material from open-source and classified sources. PhD Required Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain and pass a polygraph. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Minimum of 2 years of specialized experience in reading, writing, translating, and speaking Chinese. At least 2 years of experience supporting intelligence or military operations in a linguist or translation capacity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese.
