Facilitate effective communication between two parties that do not speak the same language by converting one spoken language to another. Interpreting services include but are not limited to Employment, Training & Orientation, Meetings, Human Resources, Health Services and other operational activities as assigned. Other duties include basic office duties such as filing faxing and answering phones and other duties as needed. This position is held to a strict code of confidentiality. The interpreter must be willing to work in all environments of the facility.

Education:
High school degree or equivalent is preferred Experience Must be able to pass and successfully complete Tyson Interpreters test. One year of interpreter experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Current Team Members already certified under Tyson interpreter program or other language certification acquired through an academic organization will be preferred. Communication Skills Must have strong verbal communication skills both written and verbal in their dominant language and the English language Must agree to sign a confidentiality agreement. Special Skills Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision, while at the same time be a member of team to coordinate and provide support as needed Must be able to demonstrate strong organizational, decision making, and follow-up skills Basic computer and typing skills preferred. Microsoft Office Word Excel Outlook Positive work ethic and attitude; ability to maintain confidentiality; flexibility to work where and when needed throughout plan Travel Must have a valid driver’s license to attend outside medical appointments
