Jacksonville Responsibilities:

Provide interpretation services for patients and healthcare providers in medical settings. Facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate understanding of medical information. Interpret conversations, medical procedures, and instructions in real-time. Translate written documents such as medical records and consent forms. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics while interpreting sensitive medical information. Collaborate with social workers and child protective services when necessary to ensure the well-being of patients.

Skills:

Proficient in medical terminology to accurately interpret and translate complex medical information. – Bilingual proficiency in English and another language (PORTUGUESE – SPANISH) Familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL) for effective communication with hearing-impaired patients. Strong communication skills to convey messages clearly and accurately. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize assignments. Excellent interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. Knowledge of hospital protocols and procedures related to interpretation services.
