NATIONWIDE

Responsibilities:

• Provide interpretation services to facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients who have limited English proficiency.
• Translate written materials such as medical records, consent forms, and other relevant documents.
• Assist with documentation review and ensure accuracy of translated materials.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards and ethics.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure effective communication and patient care.

Requirements:

• Fluency in English and Spanish language.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• Familiarity with cultural nuances and sensitivity to diverse populations.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with patients and healthcare professionals.
• Previous experience as a medical interpreter or in a related field is preferred but not required.
• Completion of a medical interpreter training program is a plus.
