As a Translator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication across diverse cultures. Duties Translate written documents from source language to target language while maintaining accuracy and cultural relevance. Transcribe audio recordings and interpret spoken content in real-time during meetings or events. Write clear and concise translations that reflect the tone and style of the original text. Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency in terminology and messaging across various projects. Review and edit translations for grammatical accuracy, clarity, and coherence. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific translation needs and preferences. Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices in translation and linguistics. Requirements Proficiency in K’iche’/English language (Bilingual or Multilingual). Strong background in Linguistics or related fields is preferred. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in both source and target languages. Ability to interpret spoken content accurately during discussions or presentations. Familiarity with translation software and tools is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
