The ideal candidate will be proficient in interpreting and translating spoken or signed language, ensuring that all parties understand the message being conveyed. This role is essential in various settings, including medical, legal, and community environments, where clear communication is critical. Duties Interpret spoken language in real-time during meetings, appointments, and events. Translate written documents as needed to ensure clarity and understanding. Provide interpretation services for individuals who are bilingual or multilingual. Utilize American Sign Language (ASL) for communication with deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times while interpreting sensitive information. Collaborate with other professionals to ensure accurate communication and understanding of context. Stay updated on industry terminology and cultural nuances to enhance interpretation accuracy. Experience Proven experience as an Interpreter or in a similar role is preferred. Strong proficiency in at least two languages; bilingualism or multilingualism is highly desirable. Knowledge of linguistics and the ability to interpret complex concepts accurately. Familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL) is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey messages clearly and effectively.
