Category Schools – Sign Language Interpreter – Telehealth Job Type Contract Are you a skilled Sign Language Interpreter looking to transition your expertise into a remote educational environment? We’re seeking dedicated interpreters to join virtual learning teams supporting students across Kentucky. This position enables you to provide essential communication access while working from home.
Position Details Weekly Hours:
35-37.5 hours per week following standard school hours
Grades Covered:
Elementary through high school (K-12)
Caseload:
Typically 40-60 students
Delivery Mode:
Live virtual ASL interpretation via secure video platforms
Support Contexts:
Academic instruction in core and elective subjects IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings One-on-one support sessions Peer collaboration and teacher-led activities Core Responsibilities Provide fluent, real-time ASL interpretation between students and staff Maintain the integrity and accuracy of communication across diverse settings Participate in IEP processes and support individualized communication plans Collaborate with special education and general education staff Uphold FERPA and confidentiality standards during all sessions Required Qualifications Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 (required for school-based roles) Valid Kentucky interpreter certification or eligibility At least 2 years of school-based interpreting experience Comfort using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or similar platforms Private, quiet work space and reliable high-speed internet Application Process If interested, apply here or contact: Daniela Jimenez 470-516-6256 Remote, Florence, KY 41042 Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled
