We are seeking a qualified and experienced Certified Sign Language Interpreter to support students in educational settings across New Orleans, LA. The ideal candidate will facilitate effective communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their teachers, peers, and school staff.

Responsibilities:

Provide interpretation services in classrooms and school-related activities Support students during instruction, assessments, and extracurricular events Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure accessible communication Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all settings Adapt communication methods to suit student needs and learning environments

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred) Current certification from a recognized interpreting body (e.g., RID, EIPA) Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) Previous experience in an educational setting preferred Strong understanding of the
