We have an opening for a part-time Medical Interpreter• at our OB providers at our Valley Forge OB/GYN practice in Phoenixville, PA. The Medical Interpreter will support our providers and patient by facilitating clear, accurate, and culturally appropriate communication. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring that patients with limited English proficiency receive equitable and safe care. •Contracted position – Tuesdays and Wednesdays Interpret accurately and effectively between patients and clinical staff during OB appointments, procedures, and counseling sessions. Translate patient-related documents, forms, and care instructions as needed. Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA and patient privacy regulations. Assist with scheduling appointments and communicating follow-up instructions in the patient’s primary language, when applicable. Help patients understand medical terminology, diagnoses, treatment plans, and health education materials. Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support a positive and informed patient experience. Other related duties as needed.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma, some college preferred Certification in medical interpretation preferred Fluent in Spanish and English Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English highly preferred At least 1 year previous experience as a medical interpreter, preferably in OB/GYN or Women’s Health Strong interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity Able to work Tuesdays and Wednesdays The estimated compensation range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
