Freelance Spanish Interpreter (Suffolk/Nassau) Legal Language Services East Meadow, NY 11554 Legal Language Services, a leading translation and interpreting company, seeks freelance interpreters (especially linguists proficient in Spanish, Arabic, Burmese, Cantonese, and Vietnamese) for assignments in Nassau and Suffolk counties (East Meadow, Hempstead, Ronkonkoma, Hauppauge, Islip). The ideal independent contractor has the following skills and experience: Strong proficiency in both English and the target language Effective oral communication skills and a professional manner Keen active listening skills Strong time management skills Familiarity with the ethical responsibilities of interpreting including the need for impartiality, accuracy, and respect for confidentiality Familiarity with medical and/or legal terminology is preferred (but not required) Experience interpreting in legal and medical settings is preferred (but not required) Interested in becoming a freelance interpreter with Legal Language Services?
