Monday•Friday, 8:00 AM•3:00 PM (32.5-35 hours/week)
Position Overview:
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated and qualified Educational American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time, onsite position supports a student who is deaf or hard of hearing by facilitating communication between the student, their peers, educators, and school staff in a mainstream classroom setting.
Responsibilities:
Interpret spoken English into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa in real-time classroom settings. Promote equal access to instruction and participation for the student. Collaborate with teachers, school personnel, and families to ensure effective communication strategies. Maintain professional ethics and confidentiality in all interpreting assignments. Support academic success and social interaction for the student throughout the school day.
Requirements:
Must meet the State of Pennsylvania’s requirements for
Educational Interpreters:
Hold a minimum of a 3.5 EIPA score OR hold a current and full RID certification (provisional not accepted) Previous experience in a school setting is highly preferred. The client may consider a highly experienced ASL paraprofessional, but a certified interpreter is strongly preferred. Benefits of Working with
