Freelance Turkish Translator(Contract Position) Cotterell Bandyopadhyay Law, PLLC Nashville, TN 37211 Freelance Turkish Translator & Court Prep Assistant (Contract Position) Cotterell Bandyopadhyay Law, PLLC – Nashville, Tennessee Cotterell Bandyopadhyay Law, PLLC is an immigration law firm based in the Nashville, Tennessee area. We are committed to providing high-quality legal services to individuals and families navigating the U.S. immigration system. To better serve our Turkish-speaking clients, we are seeking a freelance or contract-based language specialist to provide translation services and assist with legal preparation for court matters on a temporary or as-needed basis.
Scope of Work:
Provide accurate Turkish-to-English and English-to-Turkish translation of documents and communications. Offer remote and occasional in-person interpretation for attorney-client meetings, court preparation, and client calls. Assist attorneys and staff in preparing Turkish-speaking clients for interviews, hearings, and court appearances . Translate legal and procedural information in a clear, culturally sensitive manner. Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Requirements:
Fluency in Turkish (spoken and written); Kurdish fluency is a plus. Prior experience with legal translation or immigration law is preferred. Strong communication skills and cultural competence. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Remote work is supported , but availability for occasional on-site assistance in Nashville is required.
