Job Overview:
We’re looking for a hands-on, customer-focused professional to join our team as a Lighting Showroom Service Technician . This hybrid role combines technical field service with customer coordination, ensuring that our clients receive prompt professional support for any post-sale lighting issues. You’ll represent the company both in the showroom and in customers’ homes, providing solutions with confidence, courtesy, and care.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Scheduling & Communication Contact customers to schedule and confirm in-home warranty service visits Communicate clearly and professionally via phone, email, or in-person Provide updates and manage expectations before, during, and after service calls Onsite Warranty Service Travel to customers’ homes to perform repairs or replacements on lighting fixtures covered under warranty Diagnose and resolve basic electrical or mechanical issues with lighting installations Ensure all work is documented and follow-ups are scheduled if needed Internal Coordination Work closely with showroom sales associates and managers to understand customer issues and ensure aligned service solutions Support the Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) Manager by processing defective products related to service visits Showroom Support Assist with the setup, maintenance, and updating of lighting displays and in-store fixtures Ensure showroom displays remain functional and visually appealing
Qualifications & Skills:
Technical Skills:
General mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tools Basic knowledge of electricity and lighting components Ability to troubleshoot, identify issues, and perform effective, safe repairs
Communication & Customer Service:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate technical issues in a customer-friendly way Dependable, professional, and calm under pressure
Other Requirements:
Basic computer proficiency , including use of Microsoft Office and common workplace software Comfortable using ladders and performing physical tasks as needed Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (company vehicle provided) Ability to work independently and adapt to changing schedules or priorities
