JOB SUMMARY

Assists in the production of all Brooks Center events including professional touring artists, academic and community performances. Provides technical assistance in areas of theater production and safety standards. Leads student workers. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES

  • Production and Event Operations:

    Assists with production of all events in the Brooks Center theater including audio, lighting, rigging, stage management and other production operations to ensure events are executed safely and with technical proficiency. Maintains knowledge of Brooks Center lighting, audio, rigging and other technical equipment as well as safety standards. 35%

Leadership:

Leads production student workers crew calls. Ensures all employees observe proper theater safety to ensure an OSHA-compliant work environment. Trains student employees in technical operation of the theater including audio, lighting, counterweight fly system, and other production elements. Leads educational opportunities for Clemson students that increase professional work experience. 10%

  • Customer Service:

    Maintains positive client relationships resulting in repeat rental business. Communicates facility rules and regulations in a clear and personable manner. 5%

Technology and Maintenance:

Performs routine maintenance of Brooks Center equipment and technology. Assists production managers in identifying preventative maintenance programs for backstage operations and facility equipment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • A high school diploma and experience or additional education in the production or specialty areas of production of radio or television programs.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

Experience or additional education in the performing arts or specialty areas of performing arts.

Expected Salary Range:

($ 28,060.00

  • $ 35,250.

00) Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson’s compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

Normal Operations Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
