Director, Athletic Video Production:
Description:
  • Manages all aspects of video creation/production for athletics, including producing, directing and managing ESPN+ streaming for football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer and volleyball.
  • Oversees setup, breakdown, and maintenance of all equipment associated with broadcasts.
  • Produces, directs, and manages all live productions on ESPN+ and assists, when able, with other in-house productions.
  • Prepares, guides, and troubleshoots all ESPN+ broadcasts for both primary and secondary systems.
  • Assists with troubleshooting issues associated with video boards at various athletics venues.
  • Continues to develop the skillset necessary to operate new hardware and software for ESPN+.
  • Hires, trains, schedules, and manages student workers in a variety of capacities including the camera crew and production crew.
  • Shoots and edits video content for use on JagNation TV and social media as necessary.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required, including nights and weekends as dictated by playing season schedules
  • Related duties as required.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama, one year of experience in multi-media production which included graphic design and delivery, and possession of a valid driver’s license and maintenance of a driving record sufficient to maintain insurance coverage with the University of South Alabama. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. This is a full-time position with employee benefits, salary commensurate with experience.
