Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama, one year of experience in multi-media production which included graphic design and delivery, and possession of a valid driver’s license and maintenance of a driving record sufficient to maintain insurance coverage with the University of South Alabama.
An equivalentbination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications ESPN+ experience is highly preferred.
Job Description Summary The University of South Alabama’s Athletics department is seeking to hire a Director, Athletic Video Production. Interested candidates should to be considered.
Essential Functions
These are the job duties required of the position.
Essential Functions Manages all aspects of video creation/production for athletics, including producing, directing and managing ESPN+ streaming for football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer and volleyball.
Oversees setup, breakdown, and maintenance of all equipment associated with broadcasts.
Produces, directs, and manages all live productions on ESPN+ and assists, when able, with other in-house productions.
Prepares, guides, and troubleshoots all ESPN+ broadcasts for both primary and secondary systems.
Assists with troubleshooting issues associated with video boards at various athletics venues.
Continues to develop the skillset necessary to operate new hardware and software for ESPN+.
Hires, trains, schedules, and manages student workers in a variety of capacities including the camera crew and production crew.
Shoots and edits video content for use on JagNation TV and social media as necessary.
Regular and prompt attendance.
Ability to work schedule as defined and additional hours as required, including nights and weekends as dictated by playing season schedules
Related duties as required.
