Job:

The Director of Media and Corporate Communications lead our media relations, corporate, and product communications, and executive visibility efforts. This leader will craft compelling narratives, elevate our brand presence, and position MTN as the world’s most advanced multi-network operators, providing enterprises, government, and maritime industries with reliable and cost-effective connectivity solutions. This role will work closely with our CEO, executive team, and cross-functional managers to drive media engagement, thought leadership, and industry influence. You will be responsible for ensuring MTN is top-of-mind for customers, investors, media, and industry influencers, helping shape the future of satellite communications.

Supervise Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a comprehensive corporate & product communications strategy that increases MTN’s visibility and influence. Provide strategic leadership for the high-performing team, including defining media narratives, corporate communication strategies,, and planning mid and long-term topics that will position MTN and CEO as thought leaders. Possess 3+ years of experience in managing teams and agencies. Bring strong relationships with top-tier media and industry influencers to tell the MTN story in meaningful ways. Develop programs to target influencers and media outlets in amplifying the MTN story. Secure high-impact media coverage in business, technology, and publications, ensuring consistent messaging. Act as a strategic partner for external agency relationships, maximizing their impact and value. Bring strong POV and expertise in telling product storytelling that drives key messages within the ever-changing market. Partner in crafting compelling presentations, op-eds, and executive social media content that reinforces MTN’s vision and category leadership. Manage a senior social media manager & external agency in developing a best-in-class social program. Work with internal stakeholders to develop and refine crisis communication protocols, ensuring MTN responds effectively to sensitive issues. Partner with the marketing and content teams to elevate compelling customer success stories in the press and beyond.

Required Skills/Abilities:

5 to 8 years of corporate communications, PR, or media relations experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise tech. Strong preference for those who are familiar with the maritime industry. Proven ability to develop and execute high-impact PR campaigns that drive brand awareness and market influence. Deep expertise in media relations, executive thought leadership and storytelling. Exceptional writing, messaging, and content development skills. Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills; experience working directly with executives. Data-driven mindset with experience measuring the success of PR and comms initiatives. Ability to travel 25% of the time
