Full Job Description News Director Location:

Centennial, CO•Washington DC•West Palm Beach Reports to:

Executive Leadership Salary Range:

$80,000•120,000/year (depending on experience) Position Summary Lead and shape the editorial vision of Real America’s Voice’s newsroom across broadcast, digital, and social platforms. You’ll oversee daily news operations, champion journalistic integrity, guide a multi-platform strategy, and drive audience growth through compelling storytelling and innovation.

Note:

Real America’s Voice is a news and opinion platform that features voices and perspectives often underrepresented in mainstream media. The successful candidate must be comfortable working within a network that embraces a conservative, populist editorial viewpoint and encourages opinion-driven programming alongside factual reporting. Key Responsibilities Oversee all newsroom operations: editorial planning, daily desk management, staffing, and resource allocation Develop and execute coverage strategies aligned with audience interests and Real America’s Voice’s mission Lead story selection, finalize angles, review scripts/content, and supervise live newscasts Ensure adherence to journalistic ethics, FCC regulations, and legal standards Manage news budgets, hiring, staff performance reviews, and professional development Collaborate with production, technical, and marketing teams to integrate content across platforms Monitor audience feedback, viewership data, and ratings—adapt strategies for growth Spearhead digital innovation: data journalism, multimedia storytelling, social media, and SEO optimization Represent RAV’s newsroom in media or community engagements as needed

Required Qualifications Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field; Master’s preferred

Experience:

8+ years in news (broadcast or digital), including at least 5 years in newsroom management or as producer/editor Proven track record of leading successful news teams and growing audience metrics Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and team-building skills Excellent editorial judgment, writing, and story development instincts Skilled in multimedia, live production workflows, and digital content optimization

Skills & Competencies Newsroom Fluency:

Familiar with AP Style, digital and broadcast production, breaking news coordination

Digital Proficiency:

SEO, social media, data visualization, cross-platform analytics

Budget & Resource Management:

Forecasting, staffing, vendor negotiation

Tech Savvy:

Competent with production systems, editing, newsroom management tools
