May 29, 2025 Apply on website General Description and Classification Standards Reporting to the Deputy General Manager, this role directs multiple commercial Airport business units to include Airline Affairs/Commercial Property Management, Commercial Real Estate, Air Service Development and International Business Affairs. This position is responsible for the day-to-day direction and strategic planning of assigned units; allocates and manages budgeted resources; establishes processes and procedures to maintain efficiency in the various commercial units; significant contributor in developing Airport policy and Airport strategic plans. This is a senior position in the Hartsfield-Jackson executive leadership structure charged with providing guidance and expertise for multiple specialized commercial functions within the Airport with oversight of multiple director or manager level positions. Supervision Received Direction received is very general and focuses more both immediate and strategically planned operating objectives. This is a policy-advisory level of management. Essential Duties & Responsibilities These are typical responsibilities for this position and should not be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Directs assigned functions at the Airport through subordinate directors and managers for Airline Affairs/Commercial Property Management, Commercial Real Estate, Air Service Development and International Business Affairs. Manages collaboration with business peers/partners in the Commercial Revenue Division comprised of Parking, Concessions, Non-Traditional Concessions/Special Programs and Marketing/Brand Strategy. Prepares, reviews and implements detailed operating plans including, but not limited fiscal year budget plans, departmental/divisional strategic plans, operational plans and departmental policies for external/internal stakeholders. Develops and cultivates relationships and stakeholder policies and programs with communication to the General Manager, the Mayor’s Office and City Council. Selects, manages, and develops leadership talent for units managed. Provides guidance and coaching on an ongoing basis. Oversight of division’s success plans and leadership needs including development of future leaders and candidates for higher level positions. Provides both formal and informal feedback to divisional staff members. With respect to areas of responsibility, implements standards, remains in compliance, regulations, policies and procedures set forth by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), City of Atlanta, Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and other international, state and local entities. Establishes good working relationships with all Airport leadership, regulatory representatives, Airportimpacted stakeholders, local governments and any other pertinent organizations with respect to the areas assigned. Serves as a member of the senior management team and provides significant input into overall strategic, business, and financial plans. Decision Making Position makes decisions regarding resource allocation among units management; regarding daily operating policies and processes.
