OPPORTUNITY
The Director of Dealer Development is responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution, and growth of the SANY dealer network. This role will focus on developing a high-performing, brand-aligned dealer channel that drives sales growth, customer satisfaction, and long-term dealer success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in channel sales, dealer development, and relationship management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and execute a comprehensive dealer development strategy that aligns with overall organizational goals. Identify, recruit, and vet new dealer partners in key markets to expand the company’s footprint. Evaluate and onboard new dealers, ensuring alignment with brand standards, values, and performance expectations. Build and maintain strong relationships with dealer principals and key stakeholders to drive engagement and loyalty. Monitor dealer performance using KPIs (sales, marketing, customer satisfaction, service quality, parts, etc.) and provide best practices and/or intervention as needed. Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, Parts, Service, Accounting and Legal teams to ensure dealers are supported and successful. Lead Dealer Excellence program to ensure consistent dealer best practices, customer experience and product knowledge. Conduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking to inform dealer network strategy. Manage dealer agreements, renewals, and terminations in coordination with Legal and Compliance teams with an adherence to state laws and statutes. Represent the voice of the dealer through the Dealer Advisory Board to drive continuous improvement.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field. 8+ years of experience in dealer/channel development, preferably in the construction equipment industry Proven experience leading multi-region dealer networks. Exceptional relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills. Strong strategic planning and analytical skills. Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time. Experience with CRM, dealer management, and dealer performance management systems.
COMPENSATION
Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience. It will include a base salary, an annual performance bonus, and other exceptional benefits.
