A leading alternative investment manager is seeking a strategic and entrepreneurial Director of Capital Formation to join their expanding team. In this high-impact role, you will lead the firm’s fundraising initiatives and play a critical role in scaling its investor platform. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic professional who thrives on building capital strategies, cultivating investor relationships, and driving long-term growth.

Director of Capital Formation Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a proactive and results-driven capital formation strategy to raise capital from RIA, family offices, and high-net-worth investors
Identify and cultivate relationships with potential investors, presenting investment opportunities and effectively articulating the value proposition of the firm
Focus on the end-to-end fund-raising process
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing investors, acting as the primary point of contact for investor inquiries and updates
Collaborate closely with the investment team to understand the unique selling points of the firm and effectively communicate these to prospective investors.
Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact fund-raising efforts, adjusting strategies as needed.

Director of Capital Formation Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree with a finance/marketing/economics concentration (MBA preferred)
Minimum 7-10 years of experience in Capital formation or Business Development at an alternative investment firm
In-depth knowledge of the private market space with a demonstrated track record in capital formation
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate complex investment concepts to diverse audiences.
Strong work ethic with a positive attitude
