Job Summary/Description:

KPLC-TV seeks an experienced journalist for a Sports Director role. Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to supervising a team of sports reporters, shaping sports coverage on air and across online platforms, and developing/communicating plans with the newsroom.
  • Strong organization and planning skills are key to the job.
  • A candidate must be able to create enterprise stories in multiple formats, work within broadcast deadlines, and craft content for daily newscast and special reports.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Qualifications include being a self-starter with sharp news delivery skills.
  • A bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field is preferred.
  • Two years of professional experience in sports reporting or news reporting is a requirement.
