New Orleans, LA Summary The Associate Director of Social Media is a professional position reporting to the Executive Director, Content Strategy. The position is responsible for managing key communications and marketing initiatives on the university’s flagship social media platforms. The AD of Social Media implements digital strategy, content, content updates, content optimization, and develops and maintains success measures across top-level university social channels. The position will be responsible for managing, protecting, and coordinating Tulane’s reputation and brand across digital platforms, in coordination with other teams in University Communications and Marketing at the university, as well as advising other University departments with their social and digital media and content needs. This position will manage the creation and production of digital and online content for University Communications and Marketing and with the Executive Director lead the development and production of all social communication pieces. The position will also monitor social media for issues that could impact the university, and make recommendations for policy and strategy adoption across all online platforms. The position will manage and lead student social media ambassadors in content creation. They will work closely with videographers, photographers, and other team members on social media content and strategy. Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 7-10 years of experience in marketing and communications of which 5 years are in direct strategic and operations management capabilities. Preferred Qualifications
