Position Description Duties and Responsibilities TheFranklin County Community Development Corporation (FCCDC) seeks adynamic and entrepreneurial Lending Director to lead the FCCDC SmallBusiness Lending Program and strengthen its position as a leader inmission-based impact lending. We are looking for an experienced smallbusiness lender who wants to use their expertise to strengthen ourregion’s economic development efforts in a collaborative,mission-oriented team and develop innovative approaches to engage morepeople that have not been able to access financing due to historic andcurrent inequities and biases. This is an opportunity to grow a matureprogram to reach more underserved people, by increasing the size of theloan portfolio from $10 million, and becoming a Certified DevelopmentFinancial Institution. Key aspects of the position are businessdevelopment, pre- and post-loan technical assistance to clients, creditanalysis, underwriting, financial forecasting, loan packaging,compliance, loan portfolio management, loan policies and systems, grantmanagement and outreach in the community. The Lending Director will workclosely with the other FCCDC Programs (Business Development, FoodSystems and Production, and Racial Justice) to develop key partnershipsand a deep pipeline of potential borrowers. The Lending Director is partof senior management and will provide leadership within the organizationand serve as a strategic partner to other Program Directors, theExecutive Director, and the Board of Directors. Requirements MinimumRequirements Bachelor’s degree in related field with five (5) or moreyears of progressive managerial experience with a proven record ofcustomer service, business counseling, commercial lending and leadershipexperience OR Advanced degree in related field with (3) three or moreyears of progressive managerial experience with a proven record ofcustomer service, business counseling, commercial lending and leadershipexperience. Previous lending experience, microenterprise credit,mission-driven lending. Demonstrated ability to network with bankers,government, community and business representatives to generate loans,promote FCCDC, and increase client contact throughout western MA.Counseling and assessment skills. Ability to work with clientele ofwide-ranging ethnicity, education level, socioeconomic status, includingimmigrants. Knowledge of small business operations and businessenvironment in western MA.
