NATA BOC
Certified, NC Licensed
ATC, CPR/AED
Certified Minimum 5 years’ athletic training experience
Knowledge, Skills, Ability:
Knowledge of athletic injuries, treatment methods, rehabilitation, record keeping, taping and bracing methods Knowledge of insurance claims/filing Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others Verbal and written communication skills Analytical, problem solving and reasoning ability; independent judgment Ability to maintain confidentiality Organizational and time management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to utilize SIMS injury tracking software Ability to travel as required
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Plans and manages facilities, programs and staff to provide medical care and athletic training services for HPU Student Athletes for all Division I sports Analyzes injuries, develops and implements treatment and rehab programs, makes doctor referrals and return to play decisions Primary athletic trainer for Men’s Basketball Oversees daily operation of athletic training facilities ACI for students in ATEP Develops and oversees administration of Drug Testing Program Administers insurance claims Directly supervises approximately 10 full-time employees, as well as Student Athletic Trainers, including hiring, firing, disciplining, scheduling, training, assigning work and ensuring completion of assigned responsibilities Maintains a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating effectively with students, students’ parents, faculty, co-workers and managers Other duties as assigned
ACCOUNTABILITY
