This role ensures the excellent execution of any live service experience here at Church Alive. The primary role of the Production Director is to run the technical operations & structure of the production department under direct oversight of the Creative & Worship Pastor. This includes but is not limited to audio, lighting, media, and broadcast. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical skill, team leadership, and an eye for detail. Tasks and projects are not limited to what is listed below. Church Alive staff come together as one team to accomplish the overall mission of the House with a relentless grit to do whatever it takes to pack out the Kingdom of God. And we have a blast doing it—all in the name of Jesus! We offer a salary range of $65,000-$85,000, with final compensation determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and alignment with the role’s responsibilities. Responsibilities Lead and manage all aspects of live production for Church Alive services and events Attend staff meetings, leader’s night, Thursday rehearsals, Sunday services, major events such as Easter, Christmas, B&B, Resilient, 252 The Weekend, etc. Build and empower volunteer team leads and volunteer dream teams to continually grow in quality & quantity Collaborate with other ministry leaders to support production needs across departments Provide strong leadership under pressure, including troubleshooting and rapid decision-making Run team meetings that casts vision & communicates culture in a fun, uplifting and empowering environment Safely setting up, repairing, servicing, and replacing equipment when required Participating in training opportunities and constantly finding new ways to improve skills Maintain the production budget Collaborating and networking with other Audio Engineers and professionals in the field Required Skills Audio Systems Digico, Allen & Heath systems Dante and MADI protocols Waves plugins/hardware, Meyer Sound processors Microphone placement, RF systems (hardware/software), and gain structure DAW proficiency (ProTools, Logic X), live recording experience Lighting Systems GrandMA2 and GrandMA3 systems DMX and ANet protocols Stage and lighting operation, including color balance and temperature Creative & Technical Development Translate vision into high-quality production elements for services and events. Work closely with Creative and Worship teams on openers, transitions, and storytelling moments. Innovate with new tools, software, and approaches to create dynamic experiences. Strongly Desired Video Systems RED and Blackmagic (cameras and ATEM switchers). LED walls, NovaStar processors, Teredak wireless video systems. Resi encoders, SDI/Ethernet/DMX fiber conversion. ProPresenter, Resolume, V-CAN, NDI configuration. College degree in Live Production or Music. Advanced mixing, rigging, and power distribution experience. SketchUp proficiency for stage design. Experience with Smaart, MAPP 3D, GrandMA offline, Streamdeck. Music or recording studio experience. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects). Required to Learn After Hire Internal onboarding systems and protocols. Production closet/inventory management. Core team structure and Monday.com project management software.
