back to class. Paul has worked with some of the biggest names in the business, on the most iconic projects. Each student will get a full work session with Paul to focus on a 32 bar/90 second cut of their choosing. You will have the chance to his adjustments and perform your cut again. Bring your book in case you are asked for more.

BIOS:
PAUL BOGAEV
is a multi-award-winning music director, arranger, conductor, andposer. He earned his first Grammy Award for his work on Elton John and Tim Rice’s AIDA, for which he produced, orchestrated, and conducted the Tony Award-winning score. Bogaev served as the music director on Broadway for a range of productions, including
TARZAN, BOMBAY DREAMS
(Tony nom., Best Orchestration), SUNSET
BOULEVARD, ASPECTS OF LOVE, CHESS, LES MIS
ÉRABLES, JOSEPH…, STARLIGHT EXPRESS, CATS, and
THE MUSIC OF ANDREW LLOYD
WEBBER, featuring Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman.
Bogaev was enlisted to “doctor”
SPIDER-MAN
TURN OFF THE DARK, collaborating with Bono and The Edge to enhance the musical performance and sound. He conducted Trevor Nunn’s Olivier Award-winning production of
FIDDLER ON THE ROOF
in London and later served as the musical director for the revival of Stephen Sondheim’s
PACIFIC OVERTURES.
He has worked on films such as the Oscar-winning CHICAGO (which won a Grammy Award for Best Soundtrack), NINE, ACROSS
THE UNIVERSE, DREAMGIRLS, CONNIE AND
CARLA, as well as animated features like
THE LION
KING, TARZAN, MULAN, and
THE EMPEROR’S NEW GROOVE.
He served as the music director for ABC-TV’s Rodgers & Hammerstein’s
CINDERELLA, ANNIE
(earning an Emmy Award), and
SOUTH PACIFIC.
Bogaev has collaborated with stars such as Sting, Phil Collins, U2, ABBA, Barbra Streisand, Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Hugh Jackman, Glenn Close, Toni Braxton, Jennifer Hudson, Kristin Chenoweth, Jamie Foxx, Daniel Day-Lewis, Penélope Cruz, Marion Cotillard, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban, Judi Dench, Liam Neeson, Harry Connick Jr., Drew Barrymore, Whoopi Goldberg, Toni Collette, Kathy Bates, Sophia Loren, and Kate Hudson.
Bogaev’s creativity shines in his stage production of

MUSKETEERS, which enjoyed a successful four-year run in Europe. Recently, he recorded

ADDRESS, apanied by his original score with the narration of Glenn Close. He has captivated audiences with his one-man show, NO

Songs by Bruce Springsteen and Tom Waits, garnering unanimous praise during its run in London and currently in preparation for a US tour. As a music student at the Juilliard School and concurrently an acting student at the Stella Adler Conservatory, He showcased his talents by starring in productions such as HAIR and Arthur Miller’s
UP FROM PARADISE
at the Kennedy Center.
He was inducted into the College of Fellows of the American Theatre in 2023.•
JAMIBETH MARGOLIS
has been casting in NYC for 20+ years. She runs her own casting office and also works as a stage director. She previously served as casting director for many of Broadway’s longest running shows such as
CATS, LES MISERABLES, MISS SAIGON, PHANTOM OF THE
OPERA and more. Last season, Jamibeth cast HARMONY on Broadway.
