The Commercial Growth Strategy & Operations Director isresponsible for leading the strategy, governance, and execution ofsales and variable compensation incentives, as well as overseeingquota and territory design and management. This role plays apivotal part in driving sales effectiveness and revenue growth byensuring that incentive structures and sales operations areoptimized to align with business objectives. As the leader of theCommercial Growth Strategy & Operations team, this role will managea team responsible for implementing, tracking and continuouslyimproving sales incentive programs, commercial incentivegovernance, and sales growth strategies. The director will workcross-functionally with Sales, Channels, Finance, HR, andOperations to design data-driven solutions that enhanceperformance, productivity, and sales efficiency and acceleraterevenue generation in alignment with company growth strategies.

KeyResponsibilities:

Leadership & Team Management Lead, mentor, anddevelop a team of Commercial Growth Operations / Sales Operationsprofessionals to drive performance and career growth. Establish andoversee processes, tools, and analytics to support the team inexecuting sales incentive programs and data-driven growthstrategies. Build and publish dashboards and tools to create visualmanagement for sellers to track achievement against plan and toestablish data integrity and credibility with constituents. Fostera culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaborationwithin the team and across the organization. Sales Incentive &Variable Compensation Design Design, implement, and optimize salesincentive and variable compensation programs to drive desired salesbehaviors and business growth. Partner with Finance, Sales,Channels and HR to ensure alignment with revenue targets, coststructures, and talent strategy. Establish methodologies formeasuring incentive effectiveness and recommend enhancements basedon data-driven insights. Oversee market benchmarking to ensurecompensation plans remain competitive and aligned with industrybest practices. Quota & Territory Design and Implementation Developand execute quota-setting methodologies that ensure equitable andachievable sales targets. Lead territory design and optimization tobalance workload and maximize sales potential. Work closely withSales Leadership and Revenue Operations to monitor and adjustterritories based on performance data and market changes.

Commercial Incentives Governance & Strategy Establish and enforcecommercial incentives governance frameworks to ensure transparency,compliance, and effectiveness. Lead periodic incentive plan reviewsand facilitate alignment with key stakeholders on necessaryadjustments. Ensure governance policies remain competitive andcompliant with regulatory and business requirements. Chair thecompany compensation committee and track actions and approvalscoming out of the recurring meetings. Sales Growth OperationsDemonstrate command of revenue variance mix including volume,geography, product, direct and indirect against plan. Drive theexecution of sales growth strategies, leveraging data analytics andinsights to enhance sales effectiveness. Oversee sales productivityanalytics, providing actionable insights to optimize performance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align sales growthinitiatives with broader business objectives. Identify andimplement automation and process improvements to enhance salesoperations and incentive management.

Qualifications & Experience:

8years of experience in sales incentive design, sales operations,finance, or related fields. Proven leadership experience managingand developing a sales operations or commercial growth team. Deepunderstanding of sales compensation models, quota design, andterritory management. Strong analytical skills with experienceusing financial modeling, sales analytics, and performance metricsto drive decision-making. Expertise in tools such as Salesforce,Xactly, Varicent, Tableau, or Power BI to manage and optimize salesincentive programs. Exceptional ability to collaborate withcross-functional stakeholders, influence decision-making, and drivestrategic initiatives. Strong communication and change managementskills to implement and gain adoption of new incentive and salesoperations strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or Mastersdegree in Engineering Experience working in a SaaS, technology, orenterprise sales organization. Familiarity with behavioraleconomics and incentive psychology as it relates to salesmotivation. Demonstrated experience in process automation,AI-driven sales analytics, or predictive modeling for salesincentives.
