WTW is looking for a senior leader with Commercial SpecialtyLines pricing and underwriting experience in the U.S. market. Youwill build and lead our Specialty Lines North American (NA) team asa Property & Casualty (P&C) Director/Senior Director in ourInsurance Consulting and Technology (ICT) practice. In this role,you will work beside some of the market’s top thought leaders indesigning, selling and implementing cutting-edge consulting andtechnology solutions to solve pricing and underwriting challengesfaced by the world’s leading specialty insurers, such as: Helpingclients re-imagine how their business could operate to takeadvantage of emerging technologies, data assets and trading trendsOptimizing their trading, pricing and underwriting strategies andapproaches including: How they can better match risk to capitalUnderstanding and responding to the drivers of risk performanceMore effective deployment of capital to the business Deliveringstrategic capability reviews and transformation engagements Helpingto build effective “next generation” specialty technical models,tools and processes that make best use of the digital assets andcapabilities available to insurers Design and deployment ofsophisticated MI and portfolio optimization capabilities Leadingcomplex client engagements where you will be responsible forbuilding senior stakeholder engagement and trust Bringing practicalexperience of multiple lines of business and what it takes todeliver a strategy within a specialty insurer Leading thedevelopment of innovative data enrichment ideas to harness capital,reserving, trading, portfolio and exposure management, pricing andunderwriting insights and providing support with theirimplementation. The Role Your main responsibilities will be asfollows: Financial and business development Take a leading role indeveloping the NA Commercial Specialty strategic growth plan whichwill be expected to deliver increased sales based on a globalgo-to-market plan, which will include: Business developmentpriorities Solution development priorities Delivery capabilitydevelopment priorities Develop effective sales and marketingcampaigns that build awareness of WTW’s propositions in targetclients and geographic hubs Manage and develop pipeline ofprospects to meet both the consulting and technology sales outcomesfor NA Commercial Specialty Deliver personal sales targets alignedto the objectives of the strategic growth plan and sales/marketingcampaigns Demonstrate effective relationship building with seniorexecutives in the NA Commercial Specialty marketplace Meet goalsfor billable hours and sales Develop and present proposals topotential clients, demonstrating the economic value of thecompany’s offerings, often leading a team in these presentationsClients Take personal accountability, including acting asengagement lead or delivery lead, for client engagements that areof high strategic value to the NA Commercial Specialty missionBuild a market profile as a representative and advocate of WTWconsulting services and software tools, and play a leading role inthe origination of new business to the firm Develop a trustedadvisor relationship with client contacts through effectiveleadership of engagements, supported by excellent verbal andwritten communication skills Demonstrate a curiosity and desire tolearn, and actively seek to be involved in a variety of work toensure a broad skill set (technical, management and client) ismaintained and developed, and demonstrate an enthusiasm to developothers inside the practice Interface with colleagues from otherpractices and regions on assignments that reflect the client’sbroader business issues, and actively build relationships acrossthe wider organisation Demonstrate commitment to WTW professionalstandards in managing analyses and in communications with clientsThought leadership Take a leading role in developing new relevantsolutions, propositions and service areas, or to enhance currentpropositions, leveraging WTW’s toolset and broader intellectualproperty and resources Influence C-suite and translate detailedtechnical outcomes to senior stakeholders Demonstrate throughleadership through external speaking as well as the production ofarticles and presentations People Build out the team in NA,bringing people on board and developing them Role model effectiverelationships internally and collaborate effectively oncross-functional teams Serve as a manager or mentor to more juniorassociates “This position will remain posted for a minimum of threebusiness days from the date posted or until sufficient/appropriatecandidate slate has been identified.” Qualifications TheRequirements Essential Can make significant personal impact inorder to drive the global mission Clear articulation of emergingtrends in pricing, underwriting and the Specialty (re)insurancemarket and how that can create value for our clients Significantexperience in a senior pricing or underwriting focussed P&CCommercial Specialty market role A passionate advocate for thedevelopment of analytical approaches and the adoption of newtechniques The ability to see the “big picture”, leveraging theresources of related practices to address the clients businesschallenges Comprehensive understanding of P&C CommercialSpecialty Lines insurance products Experience or interest inselling projects to insurance / financial institutions A trackrecord in innovation and creativity delivering realized revenueenhancements Strong interpersonal and team skills Self-starterattitude and ability to work within ambiguity Strong analytical andcreative skills Enjoy training / mentoring junior staffAvailability to travel on an as needed basis, domestically andinternationally Nice to Haves Actuarial qualification (FCAS orequivalent) Participation in a rotational training program orexposure to multiple functions within insurance Knowledge of WTW’send-to-end analytics tool, Radar “This position will remain postedfor a minimum of three business days from the date posted or untilsufficient/appropriate candidate slate has been identified.”

Compensation Thebase salary compensation range being offered for this role is$250,000- $330,000 USD per year. This role is also eligible for anannual short-term incentive bonus.
