Sports Information Director Position Available In Beaufort, South Carolina

The University of South Carolina Beaufort is a four-year public University nestled in the Lowcountry, located less than 15 miles from the beautiful beaches of the resort island of Hilton Head and 20 miles from historic Savannah & historic Beaufort. With a yearly average high of 75.6 degrees, the weather is favorable for outdoor recreation, outdoor training and sporting events. The USCB Sand Sharks have been accepted into NCAA Division II Provisional Membership as of July 2022 and have began competing as members of the Peach Belt Conference. Sports Information Director is responsible for professional tasks related to the planning, management, organization, and operation of sports information & media relations. Works as a member of the Athletics Administrative team and is responsible for promotion of USCB Athletics through game previews, game updates, and interest pieces through the use of written media, graphics, videos, and social accounts. Also responsible for coordination of game day logistics and supervision of student workers performing game date duties. All applicants must apply through the USC Job Center. Minimum Required Qualifications:

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 2 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree preferred. Must be able to establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, coaches, student-athletes, sports medicine staff and other university staff; Proven success in a areas of communications, athletic administration, marketing, and/or promotions at the collegiate level; Comply with NCAA D2 regulations, conference rules and University policies.
