Program Director- Commercial Graphics 2.9 2.9 out of 5 stars Richland County, SC Job Responsibilities Provides Commercial Graphics Technology Program direction, curriculum development, facility and resource oversight, community outreach, and overall program development. Responsible for program growth, student aha faculty recruitment, and professional development of faculty assigned to the program. Maintains a high level of excellence in teaching by communicating and interacting effectively with students enrolled in courses within the program area. Prepares materials needed for course instruction and testing. Keeps student records and adheres to course schedules. Uses learning management systems to communicate with students, faculty and staff. Participates in the collection of student learning outcomes. Assists the Department Chair/ Dean with timely notification of any shortfall in supplies or equipment needed for lab instruction. Conducts lectures, discussions, and other teaching activities, Relates instruction and material to course objectives. Submit grades, reports and records in a timely manner. Remains current in field. The Program Director needs to have a minimum of an Associates’ degree in Commercial Graphics or a related field and 3-5 years of direct practical experience working independently in the areas of Mult-color Screen Printing, Flexography, Laser Cutting & Engraving, and Wide Format Printing & Application. This position is located on the Midlands Technical College Airport Campus. Minimum and Additional Requirements The Program Director must have a minimum of an Associates degree in Commercial Graphics or a related field and three to five (3-5) years’ direct practical experience working in the area of Commercial Graphics. Must have a broad knowledge of the Commercial Graphics Industry with specific knowledge in the area(s) of teaching Commercial Graphics. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five (5) years’ related industry experience and have the ability to present subject material meaningfully to students and evaluate their levels of learning.
