Role:

The Commercial Operations Director is a strategic leader responsible for driving revenue growth and market expansion. This role oversees both sales and marketing efforts, ensuring alignment and optimization to achieve company objectives. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated and results-oriented professional with a proven track record in commercial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Rental Leadership:

Develop and execute rental strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets. Oversee Rental Account Manager (RAM) team performance and provide coaching and mentorship. Manage rental processes, including lead generation, qualification, and closing. Assist in leading and coaching the General Manager’s (GM) team in their rental efforts. Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities. Work with company locations to organize and attend sales activities such as sales blitz and networking events.

Marketing Leadership:

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans that support revenue goals. Manage marketing budgets and allocate resources effectively. Oversee Customer Sales Reps (CSR) along with marketing coordination. Lead the marketing team to create compelling brand messaging and campaigns. Track and measure marketing performance to optimize ROI.

Operational Excellence:

Streamline rental and marketing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and identify areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Team Management:

Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing team of rental and marketing professionals. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment. Provide leadership and guidance to team members.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in sales and marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving market growth. Strong understanding of sales methodologies and marketing best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. Strong leadership and team management skills.

Desired Skills:

Experience in the trailer rental space. Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation tools. Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, PowerBI). Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
