Please note: a monthly schedule will be provided 1-2 weeks in advance. Employees are required to adhere to the assigned schedule, which is determined by client needs. Job Summary The Field-Video Technician (Commercial Landscaping) is responsible for capturing high-quality, 360-degree interactive video of residential and commercial properties, primarily focused on landscape features and grounds maintenance conditions. Operating as part of a tech-enabled service company, inspectors follow pre-planned routes using a combination of company vehicle, scooter-style mobility device, and walking for areas not accessible by vehicle. This role is strictly dedicated to video-based data collection, inspectors do not evaluate or report on property conditions. However, experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or similar industries is highly preferred, as the inspections will be heavily focused on assessing landscaping conditions through video. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently. This position offers potential growth opportunities, including advancement into a lead role. This position will require use of a company vehicle for inspection routes. Supervisory Responsibilities None. Duties/Responsibilities Follow pre-defined routes to capture high-quality 360-degree video of commercial and residential landscapes using a combination of company vehicle, scooter-style mobility device (e.g., GSC Tourer X), and on foot when necessary. Conduct thorough video inspections of landscaping features including turf, beds, hardscape, irrigation indicators, and overall grounds appearance. Operate helmet- or vehicle-mounted video equipment to ensure complete and stable footage. Use mobile applications to upload captured footage for processing. Maintain assigned vehicle and mobility equipment in clean, working condition. Adhere to scheduled inspection plans based on client needs and project requirements. Follow all safety protocols for vehicle operation, mobility devices, and outdoor inspections. Provide informal guidance to newer inspectors as needed. Perform additional inspection-related duties as assigned.
Internet Connection Requirements:
A high-speed internet (preferably a fiber internet connection) is required for this position to ensure seamless performance. While a company laptop will be provided, a reliable and strong internet connection is essential.
Minimum upload speed:
100 Mbps If fiber is not currently used at your location, we can assist with upgrades when possible; however, not all homes/apartments have access to fiber connectivity.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow pre-defined routes accurately. Strong leadership potential, including the ability to plan work efficiently, support team members, and provide training as needed. Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written to document work and coordinate with team members. Proficiency in using mobile applications, GPS-based navigation, tablets, and specialized video recording equipment. Competent in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software for basic data entry and reporting. Highly organized with strong time-management skills to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Safe and responsible driving skills, with a solid understanding of traffic laws and company vehicle operation standards.
Education and Experience/Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Must pass a background check and motor vehicle review. Must possess a valid driver’s license in the state of employment and have a clean driving record for at least the past five (5) years.
Physical Requirements and working conditions:
Ability to drive or stand on a mobility device for extended periods and conduct inspections on foot over various terrains. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and wind. Must adhere to assigned work schedules and complete inspections as scheduled by the client. Must be comfortable handling technology, including GPS navigation and video recording systems. Ability to lift 100 Pounds.
