There are some physical requirements as you will be required to help set up equipment such as lights and backdrops as well as tents and tables for outside jobs. Photographer assistants will be assisting the photographer in all aspects of their work. From posing the child to making sure the flash goes off. Sales personnel will be in charge of handling all photo day orders and payments. Assisting parents in any questions they may have about the order form and helping them choose what items are best for them. Photo Day Coordinators are in charge of keeping the job on schedule. Overview:

As a Photographer, your primary role will be to photograph individuals and groups. It will be your responsibility to capture high-quality images while displaying confidence and professionalism at all times. We are looking for applicants who are fun, energetic, and detail oriented. You will need to work well in a team and must work well with children. You will also need to provide your own transportation. Your schedule must be flexible. Photography experience is a plus, but not required. We will provide all training and equipment. All applicants will be subject to criminal and motor vehicle background checks. ​ No matter the experience you currently have, All photographers work as assistants for 3-4 jobs to learn our system and routine before being put behind the camera. At which point you will work with one of our experienced photographers for another 2-3 jobs. Once we feel you have the skill we need, you will move up and take on more responsibility. That will include you setting up the equipment on your own, being able to trouble shoot any issues with the camera or strobes, taking the photos as trained and recording all image numbers and paperwork correctly. Photographer:

We supply all equipment and you will be responsible for setting is up by our Standards and SOP’s to ensure consistent photographic quality to our clients Drive yourself to assigned scheduled accounts on time Willingness to travel within 60 miles Ability of lifting and carrying photography equipment including Backdrops, Tents, etc up to 40 Lbs. Carry and transport your equipment from your vehicle to the designated set up location Interact with individuals to capture the best possible expressions Provide clear Picture Day direction and set clear expectations for parents, school personnel and student helpers Work closely with staff to establish appropriate classroom work flow and effectively resolve issues Organize materials, assemble equipment and ensure that all supplies are available on Picture Day Maintain and transport equipment in a safe manner between schools according to company guidelines Represent MillerFoto in a professional manner at all times while adhering to all company and school policies Maintain confidentiality of school and student related information Safeguard equipment and money at all times Any other duties assigned by your Manager ​

PAY RATES – EVENTS, SPORTS TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL PHOTOGRAPHERS

Training rate is $12.50/hour with a 2 hour minimum.. Typical training is 2-3 picture days. After your training is completed and you can on your own set up backdrops and lights, accept forms, coordinate picture day, take photos, etc… Rates range from $15.00 per hour and up depending on your capabilities and willingness to photograph the way we train you. You are responsible for picking up all equipment from the office and returning it right after the job. Hourly rates start at the time you are required to pick up the equipment and return to the office, with a 2 hour minimum. Occasionally one staff member will drive the van with the equipment to the school. At that point you clock in and clock out at the start and end of the job.
