  • NOLA-Based We’re looking for a creative, reliable content creator to help grow the Instagram presence for our artisan kitchen goods brand, NOLA Boards. We make handcrafted cutting boards, barware, gifts, and lifestyle goods, and we’re looking for someone who can bring our brand to life visually—clean, warm, Southern style with a touch of fun. What we’re looking for:
  • 2-4 high-quality Instagram posts per week (mix of product photography, reels, styled shots, and graphic content)
  • Captions that reflect our brand voice—minimal, thoughtful, occasionally cheeky
  • A good eye for layout, lighting, and aesthetic storytelling
  • Experience with Reels, trends, and boosting engagement
  • Familiarity with seasonal marketing cycles (Father’s Day, holidays, launches, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of Instagram aesthetics
  • Knows how to style product shots that feel warm, clean, and on-brand
Bonus:

Ability to shoot or source original photography in New Orleans We’ll provide:

  • Brand guidelines, tone, and past examples
  • Access to product or digital assets
  • Key dates and promo themes
Skills & Experience Needed:
  • Based in or near New Orleans (or very familiar with the aesthetic/market)
  • Strong portfolio of Instagram or product content
  • Graphic design skills
  • Comfortable using Canva, Adobe Express, or Illustrator to make branded stories, promos, and quote graphics
  • Photography and/or styling skills
  • Can shoot styled photos of boards, kitchen items, and barware (even at home or in-studio settings)
  • Video editing for Reels
  • Can create 15-30 second videos from product clips, store moments, or UGC-style content using tools like CapCut or InShot
  • Tone flexibility
  • Knows when to be warm and when to be playful
  • Understands promotional timing
  • Can build content around seasonal events like Father’s Day, holidays, or new launches
  • Post planning
  • Able to build and maintain a content calendar (weekly or monthly), ideally with themes or promos in mind
  • Clear communicator and consistent with deadlines
  • Self-starter
  • Doesn’t need micromanaging; brings ideas and initiative to the table
