This position will be responsible for documenting specific disease processes through photography and other imaging devices as requested by the ordering provider along with the expectation of participating in the imaging for clinical trials. - Perform fundus, anterior segment and external photography
- Perform intravenous fluorescein angiographies and/or indocyanine green angiographies
- Scan computerized ophthalmic diagnostic imaging (i.e., OCT, HRT)
- Obtain informed consent form as it applies to angiographies
- Maintain camera(s), related equipment, and inventory of supplies
- Maintain all patient-related records as they pertain to imaging systems
- Maintain records of work performed
- Obtain images for physician presentations as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned Success in this position will require . . .
- Knowledge of ocular anatomy
- Experience in ophthalmic photography and digital imaging
- Computer literacy
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong team orientation
- Experience as an ophthalmic technician, preferred
- CRA and JCAHPO certification, preferred NY Retina specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of all aspects of retinal diseases including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion, and retinal vascular disease.
This fast-paced office requires a confident energetic candidate to support the daily functions of our ophthalmic practice. Compensation is competitive and depends on the skill set and experience of the successful candidate. Benefits include health, dental, holiday and paid time off, and a retirement plan. The salary range is $26.00 – $36.00 per hour, depending on your skills and experience.
