Job Description
⚐ ⚑ ⚑ Full-time Personal/Marketing Assistant to Photographer (Upper East Side) ‹ image 1 of 1 › 50th street near Third Ave compensation: $25-30 an hr I’m a fine art photographer (with gallery and retail representation in Florida) who is currently based in New York City for the next two months. I’m looking for a bright, proactive assistant to help me stay on top of both personal and professional responsibilities while I’m here. This is an in-person role based at my temporary home/studio in Manhattan. In August, there’s a possibility the position may transition into a remote/virtual assistant role. I am looking to hire someone right away. The ideal candidate is college-educated, highly organized, and experienced with Apple products and the Mac ecosystem. A background in photography is a plus—especially if you’re comfortable using Adobe Creative Suite and Lightroom. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a creative environment and enjoys helping streamline systems and get things done. I need someone resourceful, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities may include:
Administrative tasks (email and calendar management, appointment scheduling) Internet orders and returns Placing and tracking fine art print orders Communicating with clients, galleries, and retail stores Research and outreach to expand gallery/store representation Updating my Squarespace website (experience helpful) Creating and uploading content for social media Organizing my photo archive in Lightroom (if experienced)
Requirements:
College degree Excellent communication and organizational skills Willingness to wear a number of hats Must be upbeat and presentable (though most of the time attire is casual) Mac and Apple product proficiency 2 references Willingness to undergo a background check Bonus if you have: Experience in photography Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Lightroom Familiarity with Squarespace and social media Salary is $25-30 an hr and based on experience Hours will always be within Mon-Friday but may vary Please respond with BOTH your résumé and a brief introduction about why you’re a good fit.
