Position Summary We are seeking a mid-level Production Manager to join our team. This position will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring product quality, and maintaining efficient workflows. - Production Oversight
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the production process from start to finish.
- Hands-on in the warehouse and on the line, working alongside the production team.
- Manage and lead a team of warehouse personnel to ensure efficient production and workflow operations.
- Coordinate with manufacturing partners and internal teams to ensure quality standards and timelines are met.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust plans as necessary to meet demand and resolve bottlenecks.
- Expect to spend approximately 80% of the time on the warehouse floor and 20% at a desk to start.
- Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and records across all production areas.
- Implement and manage systems to track raw materials, WIP (Work in Progress), and finished goods.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Procurement & Vendor Management
- Manage procurement of raw materials, components, and packaging to ensure timely availability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms to optimize cost and efficiency.
- Production Planning & Reporting
- Develop and manage operations KPIs and dashboards to track performance.
- Prepare regular reports on production status, inventory levels, and procurement activity.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting for operations and production needs.
- Process Improvement & Compliance
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and reduce waste.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at scaling operational capacity. Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in an operations or production management role, ideally in a consumer goods or electronics environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory control systems, procurement processes, and production planning.
- Experience working with ERP systems and inventory management software.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work across teams and vendors.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs as part of regular duties Bonus Qualifications
