Production Manager Beavertail Skiffs 4601 15th Street East, Bradenton, FL 34203 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Manager to oversee all stages of boat production, from lamination to rigging, quality control, procurement, and inventory management. This is a hands-on position with opportunities for growth. We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated individual eager to advance their career. The ideal candidate should possess excellent leadership and communication skills, strong knowledge of boat manufacturing processes and materials, and a minimum of three years of supervisory or management experience. Compensation will be based on experience. Duties Oversee manufacturing processes, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently while identifying areas for improvement and maintaining quality standards Develop and implement production schedules and plans to meet delivery deadlines Manage resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel to optimize production Ensure boats meet quality standards and implement quality control measures Supervise and motivate the production team, providing guidance and support to enhance productivity and efficiency Monitor and manage production costs, implementing cost-saving measures Identify and resolve production problems, addressing issues promptly to minimize lost time and ensure production targets are met Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to create a safe working environment Implement and monitor process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity Purchase all materials, including supplies, raw materials and third-party products, while managing inventory levels sufficient to operate effectively without over-stocking Manage supplier relationships, evaluate new products and identify ways to lower input costs without compromising quality Conduct sea trials as needed Requirements Experience in fiberglass boat production or related fields Strong leadership and communication skills with a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience Knowledge of quality control methods and safety regulations Ability to analyze data, identify problems and implement solutions Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate teams Positive, ‘take charge’ attitude with the ability to deliver high-quality work with little supervision Demonstrated mechanical/electrical skills An eye for quality and strong attention to detail If you are passionate about manufacturing and possess the skills necessary to lead a production team effectively, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
