Position Summary The Assistant Productions Manager at Sloomoo Institute plays a pivotal role in the daily operation and management of our Production facility. This role focuses on creating an inclusive culture, ensuring a warm welcome for guests, volunteers, and staff. The Assistant Production Manager possesses strong people management and project management skills, knowing when to delegate and when to take ownership. A positive and empowering attitude, along with effective communication, is essential to maintain high standards across Production. Flexibility and proactive problem-solving are key qualities for this role. Also responsible for tracking and managing various Sloomoo items, such as slime ingredients, charms, scents, and colors. This role ensures the smooth running of our day-to-day operations by managing a 90-day quarterly lead calendar and maintaining accurate inventory.
Responsibilities:
Support the Production Manager in the leadership of Production operations, line management, and responsibility for the production of all Sloomoo Inc. products. Support the Production Manager in the safety, organization, and cleanliness standards of the production. Manage e-commerce fulfillment ensuring on-time deliveries and order accuracy. Continually support and challenge the production team to maintain and improve the overall productivity and quality, championing developments that have a positive impact on staff efficiency and quality. Manage product production in line with Experience visitation and store sales, ensuring effective tools are in place to forecast and produce the required amount of product just before it is needed. Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with relevant teams. Support the Production Manager in recruiting and training all production staff, ensuring that individuals are multi-skilled and able to work at multiple Production stations. Support Sloomoo Leadership in the development of processes to train new team members as necessary. Work in conjunction with the inventory team to ensure Experience space is optimized at all times. Ensure healthy labor to production costs are optimized. Review product sales versus production costs to ensure we are optimizing our labor spend vs. product sales. Work closely with the production manager, retail supervisor, & inventory supervisor to ensure that we maintain enough inventory for retail, the Experience & e-commerce. Promptly responds to all changes and challenges and ensuring decisions are made with optimal. guest/employee experience in mind. Consistent schedule among team members resulting in retention levels of 70%+. High net promoter score (nps) of at least 80% among employees. Maintaining appropriate staffing levels that meet head count and budgetary expectations. Quarterly plans in place for projected needs. Complete all orders for e-commerce ensuring accuracy, on time and on budget. Control the quality of slime being made. Provide feedback to the Production Manager on improvements in the production department. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
3+ Years of experience in relevant fields – Production Line Management, Restaurant Management, Procurement, Inventory, etc. Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient in leading and managing a team of 5-15 team members. Experience in product manufacturing and forecasting. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Slack, Project Management Systems (Asana or similar). Familiarity with scheduling software and payroll systems. All applicants must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
