- Job Overview
- We are seeking a dedicated production assistant which includes responsibilities in the tool crib and material management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing tools, equipment, and materials in a machine shop center environment.
- Duties
- Handle materials efficiently and safely within the tool crib
- Operate fork trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required
- Utilize cranes for moving heavy tools and equipment
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the tool crib
- Stage tooling for CNC machines accurately and efficiently
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards at all times
- Verifying the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries
- Labeling every product and placing them accordingly
- Identifying and locating the right products during the delivery process
- Keeping a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory in Epicor ERP system
- Conveying purchasing requirements and keeping data on the availability of products in short supply
- Zollering tools for CNC machines
